NASA Initiates Mission to Boost Swift Observatory's Orbit

NASA has launched the Swift Boost mission, deploying a robotic spacecraft called LINK to raise the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory's altitude. This effort aims to counteract the observatory's faster-than-expected orbital decay, caused by increased solar activity. The mission is designed to extend the observatory's operational lifespan by approximately ten years.
