Spacecraft Launched to Boost Orbit of NASA's Swift Observatory

A new spacecraft, Link, has been launched to intercept and rescue NASA's Swift Observatory, which is at risk of re-entering Earth's atmosphere. Increased atmospheric drag from recent solar storms has threatened the 1.6-ton telescope's orbit. The mission aims to extend the observatory's scientific operations by raising its altitude by approximately 240 kilometers.
