Astronomers Observe Unprecedented Long-Duration Radio Outburst from Growing Black Hole

An international research team, led by the Max Planck Institute, has identified a lightweight supermassive black hole in a spiral galaxy exhibiting a unique phenomenon. This black hole has been emitting intense radio radiation continuously for eight years, marking the first time such a prolonged and powerful radio-bright state has been observed from a rapidly expanding black hole.
