NSF Launches Project Triad to Integrate Quantum Sensing, Networking, and Computing
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced Project Triad, a new initiative to integrate quantum sensing, quantum networking, and quantum computing into a single operational system. This first-of-its-kind project aims to move quantum technology from laboratories to real-world applications in areas such as safety, healthcare, energy, and manufacturing, strengthening American economic competitiveness and national security. A proof-of-concept system is slated for experimentation by December 2026.
