Hubble Telescope Discovers Four Nearby Hidden White Dwarf Stars

Using ultraviolet observations, the Hubble Space Telescope has confirmed the presence of four previously undetected white dwarf stars in binary systems close to Earth. One of these is now recognized as the ninth closest white dwarf to our Sun. This discovery suggests that many more such binary systems may exist in our local cosmic vicinity, expanding our understanding of stellar populations.
