NASA's Nuclear-Powered Mars Mission Estimated at Over $2 Billion

NASA's Space Reactor-1 (SR-1) Freedom mission, a nuclear-powered spacecraft destined for Mars, is projected to cost more than $2 billion. Slated for a late 2028 launch, this mission marks the first fission-powered interplanetary spacecraft.
