ESA Funds Development of Europe's Inaugural Lunar Ice Rover

The European Space Agency has granted a €65 million contract to ispace-EUROPE for the creation and deployment of MAGPIE, which will be Europe's first rover designed to explore lunar polar ice. This mission aims to study the Moon's south pole, focusing on water ice and other volatile compounds to aid future resource exploration. The MAGPIE rover is slated for a 2029 launch aboard ispace's Mission 4 lander.
