Chinese Mars Orbiter Images Interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS

China's Tianwen-1 orbiter, while orbiting Mars, successfully captured images of the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS during its close approach to the Red Planet. The orbiter's high-resolution camera provided unique observations of the comet's tail and coma from a distance of 30 million kilometers. These findings offer valuable insights into materials originating from outside our solar system, including evidence of water and other volatiles.
