Wildfires Force Evacuation and Rerouting of NASA's Madrid Deep Space Complex Operations

Extensive wildfires in Europe have necessitated the evacuation of NASA's Madrid Deep Space Communications Complex, temporarily disrupting its ability to support various space missions. The fire passed through the facility, and a damage assessment will follow once safety is ensured. NASA has successfully redirected mission communications to its other global Deep Space Network sites in Australia and California.
