Star Formation in Andromeda Galaxy Has Declined Over 500 Million Years, Hubble Reveals

A new study using data from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope indicates that star formation in the Andromeda galaxy has experienced a 500-million-year decline, with a particularly steep drop in the last 40 million years.
