Hubble Space Telescope Directly Detects Four Previously Hidden White Dwarfs

Astronomers utilizing the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope have directly detected four white dwarfs orbiting nearby red dwarf stars, solving a long-standing observational challenge. These stellar remnants, located within 65 light-years of Earth, were previously concealed by the brighter glow of their companion stars.
