ESO's Very Large Telescope Captures Image of Betelgeuse Companion Star

The European Southern Observatory's (ESO) Very Large Telescope (VLT) has successfully captured an image of the recently discovered companion to the red supergiant star Betelgeuse at its anticipated location. This observation provides further evidence for the existence of Betelgeuse B, a star estimated to be 2 to 3 times the mass of our Sun, and will prompt further investigation into its potential influence on Betelgeuse's eventual supernova.
