ESA Merges Quantum Computing with Earth Science Data by Installing First Quantum Computer at Earth Observation Centre

The European Space Agency (ESA) has installed its first quantum computer, named Bell-1, directly within its Earth observation center in Italy. This initiative, a collaboration with Equal1, aims to merge quantum technology with existing high-performance computing to accelerate the processing of vast satellite data streams for Earth science, climate modeling, and disaster response.
