Gravitational Wave Detector Network Design Method Introduced
IfoScout, a new methodology utilizing machine learning, has been proposed for co-designing ground-based gravitational wave detector networks. This two-stage simulation aims to optimize interferometer sensitivity within physical and geographical limits, potentially reducing costs and guiding the design of future detectors. The work is currently a preliminary preprint and has not yet undergone peer review.
