Quantum Information Engine Model Experimentally Demonstrated

Researchers have experimentally shown a measurement-feedback quantum information engine using a trapped 40Ca+ ion system. This work explores using quantum inner friction to extract work, with projective measurement acting as an energy source. The preliminary findings, not yet peer-reviewed, advance understanding of quantum thermodynamics and potential energy extraction methods.
