Carbon markets alone won't keep Southeast Asia's forests standing, study says

A new study reveals significant untapped conservation potential within forestry and plantation concessions in Southeast Asia, indicating that carbon markets alone are insufficient for forest preservation in the region. The research highlights that approximately 42 million hectares of forests remain within logging, oil palm, timber, and rubber plantation concessions across the region.
