KU-Fermilab Team Awarded DOE Grant to Develop Next-Generation CERN LHC Detectors

A team from the University of Kansas and Fermilab has received a Department of Energy award to build next-generation calorimeters for CERN's Large Hadron Collider. These detectors are slated for integration into the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment before the High-Luminosity LHC era, expected in the mid-2030s.
