Discovery of a Dormant Supermassive Black Hole Far from its Galactic Core

Scientists have detected a supermassive black hole lurking approximately 30,000 light-years from the center of its galaxy. This marks the first time a dormant black hole has been found so far from a galactic core, revealing itself only after shredding a passing star.
