Submillimeter Array Reveals Complex Chemistry in Star-Forming Regions

New observations from the Submillimeter Array have identified a rich inventory of carbon-chain chemistry within 10 Class II protoplanetary disks in the Taurus-Auriga region. This research offers significant insights into the organic matter reservoir in prestellar and starless cores, which is expected to contribute to the formation of future planetary systems.
