IBM Quantum Platform Achieves Record Quantum Fourier Transform

A new preprint details the largest experimental Quantum Fourier Transform (QFT) to date, performed on the IBM Quantum Platform. The research achieved process fidelities of 11.4% at 50 qubits and 1.8% at 80 qubits, with the correct output distinguishable up to 100 qubits. This work marks a notable advancement in quantum computing hardware capabilities.
