EU's IRIS² Satellite Constellation Enters Full Deployment Phase

The European Commission and the SpaceRISE consortium have finalized an agreement for the full-scale deployment of the EU's IRIS² satellite constellation. This initiative will add 66 satellites, bringing the total to 348, and aims to establish a secure and resilient connectivity system for Europe. The European Space Agency (ESA) will oversee the technical implementation, including development, qualification, and in-orbit validation.
