ESA and SpaceRISE Consortium Sign Agreement to Accelerate IRIS² Satellite Constellation Deployment

The European Commission and the SpaceRISE consortium have finalized an implementation agreement to advance IRIS², the European Union's new flagship satellite constellation. This agreement will add 66 satellites to low Earth orbit, bringing the main constellation to 348 satellites, and move the project from planning to full-scale deployment with support from the European Space Agency (ESA). The reinforced constellation aims to enhance secure governmental capacity and support critical missions.
