Europe's IRIS2 Secure Satellite Constellation Advances to Full Implementation

The European Commission, ESA, and SpaceRISE consortium have approved the full-scale implementation of the IRIS2 secure communications constellation. This decision follows a critical review, increasing the total investment to over €15.6 billion, with €11.6 billion from public funds. The project aims to enhance Europe's secure communication capabilities, supporting governmental and commercial needs.
