Tiny Plasma Whirlpools Discovered on the Sun's Surface

Scientists have identified incredibly small plasma whirlpools, some as narrow as 20 kilometers, swirling across the Sun's surface. These previously unseen vortices are believed to play a role in twisting magnetic fields and contributing to the energy release in minor solar events.
