MIT-Led Team Creates Hundreds of New Patient-Derived Cancer Models

Researchers at MIT and partner institutions have spent a decade developing nearly 700 new cancer models derived directly from patient tumors. These models, covering 25 different cancer types, are now accessible to scientists worldwide. This extensive resource is anticipated to significantly advance the development of new, targeted cancer treatments by offering more accurate representations of cancer's genetic and molecular characteristics for research.
