ESA Satellites Create Artificial Solar Eclipse to Forecast Corona for Upcoming Total Eclipse

The European Space Agency (ESA) has employed its Proba-3 satellites to create an artificial solar eclipse in space. This technique aims to predict the Sun's corona ahead of a total solar eclipse expected over parts of Europe tomorrow. Combining Proba-3 observations with Solar Orbiter data and computer modeling, this effort seeks to improve space weather forecasts, with results to be compared against real eclipse observations.
