ESA Satellite Observes Solar Eclipse Shadow Over Europe

The European Space Agency's MTG-I1 satellite successfully captured the Moon's shadow as it moved across Greenland, Iceland, and the Iberian Peninsula during the August 12 total solar eclipse. Positioned 36,000 km above Earth, this observation demonstrates the satellite's capabilities in monitoring atmospheric and environmental phenomena. The next MTG satellite, MTG-I2, is set for launch on August 27.
