Astronomers Discover a New Type of Astrophysical Object: A 'Black Hole Star' in the Early Universe

Using the James Webb Space Telescope, astronomers have identified an extremely bright red object in the early universe that appears to be a novel type of astrophysical entity dubbed a 'black hole star.' This mysterious object resembles an enormous star but exhibits an energy output more akin to what a black hole might generate, potentially containing a black hole of about 100,000 solar masses encased in a dense, star-like hydrogen cocoon.
