China to Establish Dedicated Planetary Protection Lab for Tianwen-3 Mars Samples

China has announced plans for a dedicated planetary-protection laboratory in Hefei, which will receive and process samples returned by the Tianwen-3 mission (expected to launch in 2028 and return by 2031).
