University of Miami Strengthens Research in Disease Modeling and Regenerative Medicine

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine recruited Drs. Freedman and Fu, internationally recognized scientists, to enhance its research capabilities. Their expertise includes developing human kidney organoids, using CRISPR/Cas9 for polycystic kidney disease modeling, and pioneering mechanomedicine, aiming to translate fundamental discoveries into new treatments for human health.
