Dung Beetles Help Identify Elusive Wildlife Through DNA Analysis in Singapore

New research from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore demonstrates that dung beetles can assist in identifying elusive wildlife by analyzing DNA found in their gut contents. This innovative method uncovered 18 animal species, including rare mammals and birds, offering a more rapid and detailed approach to biodiversity monitoring in forest ecosystems.
