A new study published in Nature Communications: Earth and Environment, utilizing four decades of satellite images, has developed a method to measure tides at the scale of individual beaches. This approach revealed that tide levels can vary by almost a meter across a single bay, a detail often missed by traditional tide gauges and conventional satellite measurements.
