Protein's Role in DNA Repair and Radiotherapy Response Identified

Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Anhui University discovered that the CIP2A protein regulates mitotic DNA repair by controlling the recruitment and phosphorylation of Polθ. Disrupting this CIP2A-Polθ interaction increased tumor cell sensitivity to radiotherapy, suggesting a potential new strategy for cancer treatment.
