NSF Allocates $290 Million to Advance Quantum Science Research

The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has committed $290 million to eight Quantum Leap Challenge Institutes (QLCIs). This substantial investment aims to accelerate fundamental research, hardware development, and workforce training in quantum science, supporting 36 universities and numerous partners across 19 states. This initiative is crucial for advancing quantum technologies and maintaining U.S. leadership in the field.
