NASA's Roman Space Telescope Encapsulated, Nearing August 30 Launch to Hunt Dark Energy and Exoplanets

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has completed a major step towards its launch, with teams encapsulating the observatory inside the protective fairing of its SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. The telescope is scheduled to launch no earlier than August 30, 2026, and is poised to conduct detailed scans of the sky in infrared light to investigate dark energy, dark matter, and discover thousands of exoplanets.
