ESA Awards €543.6 Million in Contracts for European Launcher Challenge to Boost Commercial Space Access

The European Space Agency (ESA) has signed three contracts totaling €543.6 million with Rocket Factory Augsburg, PLD Space, and Isar Aerospace. This initiative, part of the European Launcher Challenge, aims to establish additional commercial launch capacity for Europe, with companies required to demonstrate orbital launch capability before 2028.
