MIT Student Investigates Microbes for Methane Emission Reduction in Wastewater

MIT PhD student Gage Coon is conducting research on utilizing microbes to decrease methane emissions from wastewater treatment processes. This work, highlighted by the Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences (EAPS) department, represents an ongoing effort in environmental science to address greenhouse gas reduction. The research could contribute to more sustainable waste management.
