NASA Prepares to Launch Roman Space Telescope for Cosmic Mapping Mission

NASA is set to launch the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope on August 30, 2026, aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy. This flagship observatory, with a field of view 100 times larger than Hubble's, will map the cosmos to investigate dark energy and discover exoplanets from its Sun-Earth Lagrange Point 2 orbit. Its mission is expected to yield vast amounts of data for scientific research starting in early 2027.
