Second Meteosat Third Generation Imaging Satellite Successfully Launched

The Meteosat Third Generation (MTG-I2) imaging satellite, a collaborative effort between the European Space Agency (ESA) and EUMETSAT, has been successfully launched. This second imaging satellite in the MTG fleet will join Meteosat-12 to provide enhanced high-resolution weather monitoring, improving the accuracy of weather forecasts and enabling near-real-time tracking of extreme weather phenomena.
