NSF Commits Over $1.5 Billion to Foundational Research and New Innovation Centers

The U.S. National Science Foundation announced over $1.5 billion in new funding opportunities for foundational and use-inspired research. This investment includes $90 million for three new Science and Technology Centers and $50 million for two Materials Innovation Platforms. Additionally, new State and Regional AI Infrastructure Hubs will be established to accelerate AI-enabled scientific discovery nationwide, fostering innovation across various scientific fields.
