ESA Cluster Mission Concludes as Final Spacecraft Reenter Earth's Atmosphere

The European Space Agency's (ESA) final two Cluster spacecraft, Samba and Tango, completed controlled reentries into Earth's atmosphere on August 31 and September 1, 2026. This concludes a highly successful mission, launched in 2000, which provided unprecedented 3D views of Earth's magnetosphere and its interaction with the solar wind.
