Hubble Space Telescope Confirms Giant Ten-Sided Atmospheric Pattern at Saturn's South Pole

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has confirmed the emergence of a massive, ten-sided atmospheric wave encircling Saturn's south pole. This discovery is significant as Cassini spacecraft observations for 13 years never revealed such a feature, suggesting it developed recently. The finding provides a surprising counterpart to Saturn's well-known northern hexagon and offers a rare opportunity to study the development of a giant atmospheric pattern on the gas giant.
