NASA Rocket Provides First Multi-Point View of GPS-Disrupting Metallic Layers

A NASA rocket has successfully provided the first simultaneous, multi-point view inside metallic layers near the edge of space. These layers, known as “sporadic E” layers, can interfere with radio communications, radar, and GPS accuracy, and the new findings offer crucial insights into these phenomena.
