Preparation of ZrB2/MXene composite materials and application in lithium-sulfur battery
Researchers have developed a novel binary sulfur-affinic ZrB2/MXene composite material for use as a sulfur host in lithium-sulfur battery cathodes. This composite, fabricated via a one-step borothermal method, addresses challenges like the shuttle effect and sluggish polysulfide conversion kinetics. Electrochemical evaluations show the ZrB2/MXene composite electrocatalyst significantly improves catalytic efficiency, delivering high discharge capacities and excellent cycle stability.
