A collaborative team from Cleveland Clinic, RIKEN, and IBM has been named a finalist for the 2026 ACM Gordon Bell Prize. They achieved the largest biologically meaningful protein simulation (12,635 atoms) using quantum-classical computing. This breakthrough expands quantum-centric supercomputing's potential in life sciences, particularly for drug discovery, by enabling more complex molecular modeling.
