European Weather Satellite MTG-I2 Successfully Reaches Geostationary Orbit

The Meteosat Third Generation Imager 2 (MTG-I2) satellite has successfully reached its geostationary orbit at 36,000 km, completing the first family of MTG satellites. This achievement will significantly enhance weather forecasting over Europe and North Africa by providing improved quality, quantity, and frequency of environmental data. The satellite is now ready to begin its commissioning phase.
