FAST Telescope Maps Over 156,000 Neutral Hydrogen Sources

China's FAST telescope has detected 156,411 neutral hydrogen sources across nearly half the sky, creating the FASHI DR2 dataset. This extensive data is expected to significantly advance understanding of galaxy formation, dark matter distribution, and large-scale cosmic structures. FAST's sensitivity in capturing these faint signals provides critical information about the universe's early transition from darkness.
