JWST and Hubble Data Challenge Planet Formation Models

Scientists used the James Webb and Hubble Space Telescopes for the deepest survey of Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs) to date, discovering 27 new, dim objects. The unexpected finding of fewer small TNOs than anticipated challenges current planet formation models, suggesting the early solar system's building blocks may have formed differently.
