James Webb Space Telescope Uncovers New Insights into Trans-Neptunian Objects

New studies utilizing data from the James Webb Space Telescope have identified 27 previously unknown Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs), some as small as six miles wide, in a small patch of sky. This highly sensitive study, with findings appearing in The Astronomical Journal, suggests that the Kuiper Belt's composition has changed less over time than previously thought, challenging existing models of planetary formation.
