Harvard Researchers Use Sound Waves to Enhance Quantum Information Protection
Researchers at Harvard have demonstrated a novel method to protect fragile quantum information by continuously surrounding a diamond-based qubit with microscopic sound waves (phonons). This technique extended the qubit's coherence time by approximately threefold and could pave the way for compact, sound-based quantum networks on chips. The findings are published in Nature Physics.
